IE8 Doesn't display video (error #2036)

If you go to this test page in IE8 (or older):
http://vishots.com/test2.html

You wil see that it does not load the video, but displays a message: 303: failed to load a resource: unable to load resources error #2036

On the same page below it I have a sample video that plays fine. Both videos play fine in Chrome and even on ipad\iphone.

In the provided example, it looks the file was hosted on Amazon S3 but didn't have public viewing permissions, so the player couldn't access it.

If you have a link to a live version where you're having the issue, please post it here.

A quick fix for this is to download and load the flowplayer locally (not from flowplayer.org) and also add a unique id on the object tag. Everything should work fine.

Yeah, thanks malihu. I realized I forgot to add the object ID in the readme demo.

I have a problem similar to that.
In IE8 Flowplayer is loadet - but with the error message
    200, Stream not found, NetStream.Play.StreamNotFound, clip:'[Clip]'

@Daniel, it would appear FlowPlayer can't read either the video file or the poster image being passed to flowplayer. Make you can get to each in the browser.

Make sure the video mime types are added in your webserver (.htaccess or httpd.conf for apache, mime types in IIS),

In the object tag, change "playlist" to "clip", remove the poster image, and don't forget to remove the bracket at the end of the params.
    EX:

autoPlay /> **I'm sure there's a way to reinstate the poster, but you most likely have to go through the Flowplayer API.

    NOTE TO HEFF:
When you copy/paste code...it shows as above.

    Here's the missing example code:

    <param name="flashvars" value='config={clip "clip source.mp4", autoPlay

I've also noticed that setting autoBuffering to "true" enable's Flowplayer to use the first frame of the video as the poster AFTER loading the flowplayer.com default of course. :)

I'm also having this problem and, similar to Michael, other videos on my site are playing just fine in IE8. I put up a new page (http://www.bloom-cast.com/portfolio/productpromotional-videos/get-i...) within my site and the video on it will not load in IE8 (I get the same error message: 303: failed to load a resource: unable to load resources error #2036). When I point the video player to other videos that are successfully playing on other pages, it still won't load them (so it seems the problem is not in the particular video file I'm trying to load). What is going on?

I fixed this error by adding id="flowplayer" inside <object>

    Example: <object id="flowplayer" width="640" height="360" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="flowplayer/flowplayer-3.2.7.swf">
